To ensure your card is valid, we complete a pre-authorisation card check each time you do the following:
Add a card
Start a journey
How much will it be?
For first-time riders. £5
After this, your card checks will always be £1.
How does the pre-authorisation fee work?
In your bank account, the card check is from 'BERYL CARD AUTH'.
The fee is on temporary hold from your bank account. The pending pre-auth card check is usually cancelled within 7 working days, depending on how fast your bank can process it. Some banks will issue an immediate refund 💳
Please note that your journey cost is charged separately at the end of each ride.
